LEGOS BUILDING BLOCKS CAKES

These were really fun to make with my daughter Brielle. We had fun making them. They are really easy to make too. Here is the recipe to make them. ENJOY!!!

INGREDIENTS:

1 (16oz) Family Size Frozen Pound Cake, Thawed (Sara Lee)

1 Can (16oz) Vanilla Frosting

Red, Green, Yellow and Blue Food Coloring

6 Each Red, Blue, Yellow and Green Fruit Chews (Jolly Rancher and Laffy Taffy)

TRIMMING THE CAKE:

1.) Place the cake on a work surface. Trim the short the ends to make the sides perpendicular to the bottom of the cake.

2.) Cut the cake crosswise into 4 equal pieces.

FROSTING THE CAKE:

1.) Divide the frosting evenly between 4 bowls. And enough food coloring to tint each bowl of frosting a different bright color: Blue, Red, Yellow and Green. Cover the frosting to prevent drying.

2.) Spread an even layer of tinted frosting over each piece of cake to make one block of each color.

TO COMPLETE THE DECORATION:

1.) Unwrap the red fruit chews and microwave for no more than 3 seconds to soften.

2.) Press 3 softened fruit chews together and flatten slightly into a 1 1/2-inch thick circle.

3.) Cut out a 1 1/2-inch circle with a cookie cutter or small knife. Repeat with the three other like-colored fruit chews.

4.) Repeat with the rest of the colored fruit chews -- you will wind up with 6 colored fruit chew hockey puck shapes.

5.) Arrange the 2 like-colored fruit chews pucks on top of the frosted cakes to make the blocks.

Bubble Wash - It actually bubbles (so many natural bubble bath products don't) and if you agitate the water it's even bubblier! I loved that it didn't leave any residue on my daughter' skin but it did leave her skin so soft and smelling fresh.

Foaming Handwash - The packaging is inviting for the kids and makes them want to use it every time they use the bathroom - and any time they don't.

Kids Self-Foaming Shampoo & Body Wash - I love this! It's not a pump. Instead of pumping, you squeeze the bottle and out comes the foam. It's a wash and shampoo and it can be turned off for traveling.

Kids Shampoo & Conditioner - The two in one - shampoo PLUS conditioner would save time and be less stress for you and your kids.

Kids Lip Balm - My daughter like these and the clean smell and they go on smoothly. Yummy!

Kids Toothpaste - This comes with or without fluoride. It's yummy and my daughter wanted to lick it off her toothbrush. It will get the kids to want to brush, brush and brush.

Kids A Whale of A Soap - Adorable soaps in the shape of a whale. Smells so good and has a orange-smelling goodness.

If you can't tell, I loved all the Kiss My Face products. More importantly, My daughter loved them. Which means she will use them so that she can stay clean while staying safe from chemicals. We definitely give Kiss A Face kids products two thumbs up in this house!

FROGGY CUPCAKES FOR KIDS

Me and my daughter Brielle made these FROGGY CUPCAKES over the weekend. The recipe is very easy to do and the kids will have fun making these FROGGY CUPCAKES. CAKE ANATOMY:

INGREDIENTS:

12 cupcakes baked in green paper liners

1 can (16 oz) vanilla frosting
Green food coloring

3 strands red licorice laces

1 roll Fruit by the Foot red fruit leather

48 brown M&M's

24 spearmint leaves

1 tube (4.25 oz) black decorating icing

½ cup green decorating sugar

24 green gummy apple rings

WHAT YOU'LL NEDD:

A resealable sandwich-size plastic bag

TO PREPARE THE CANDY:

1.) Cut the red licorice laces into 24 (3-inch) pieces.

2.) Cut the red Fruit by the Foot into 24 (1 ½-inch) ovals.
3.) Cut the green gummy apple rings in half.

4.) Place a spearmint leaf, flat side down on work surface. Cut the spearmint leaf in half horizontally to make the frog feet. Repeat with the remaining candies.

FROSTING THE CUPCAKES:

1.) Spoon ¼ cup of the vanilla frosting into a resealable plastic bag.

2.) Tint the remaining vanilla frosting green with the food coloring.

3.) Spread the top of each cupcake with some of the green frosting.

4.) Roll the edge of each frosted cupcake in the green sugar to coat.

TO COMPLETE THE DECORATION:

1.) Arrange 2 cut gummy rings in the center of the cupcake, cut side down, as pictured.

2.) Snip a small corner from the bag with the vanilla frosting and pipe a dot of vanilla frosting in the center of each ring.

3.) Press a brown candy into the vanilla frosting as the pupils. Pipe white dots on the brown candies to add sparkle to the frog's eye.

4.) Press a length of red licorice lace onto the cupcake for the frog's mouth. Add the red fruit leather oval as the tongue.

5.) Arrange the cut spearmint leaves at the base of the cupcakes for the frog's feet. Repeat with the remaining cupcakes.

I love cute hair accessories for Brielle and I love them on all little girls in general. When I got the chance to review a hat for Lollitops I was happy. I couldn't wait to put it on Brielle. It was so cute. She wants to wear it for her cousin's birthday party next Saturday.

I received the Pastel Cupcake Bow Hat and it's ADORABLE!

This isn't just an ordinary hat though, this is a Hat/Purse. When it outgrows your child for a hat you just turn it around, pull the ribbons real tight and it's a cute purse with a cute flower on the front of it! I think this one is SO CUTE and would be adorable for any little girl.

Overall: **** I think they are so cute and the idea is great. I wish the Ribbons weren't so long and I also wish that there was a way for the child to make it a shoulder bag instead of just holding onto the ribbons.
