Preschoolers love Max and Ruby, the characters based on Rosemary Wells' classic children's books, because their relationship is so real rather than sugary sweet. They know that older sister Ruby will try to set the rules, and little brother Max will end up doing what he wants anyway! They love watching his mischievous eyes and hearing the one word he screams out in each story. Don't be surprised if the word they scream out themselves is "more!"

This DVD is pleasantly simple. The characters do things strikingly similar to what my children do, which makes it all the more amusing to them. They are not over stimulating, and do not contain violence, undertones, or really anything that I would not want my family exposed to. Rather, they take those everyday moments you absolutely treasure and have presented them in a classic/retro style cartoon that appeals to boys and girls! Yippee, the kids can agree on something to watch! And they're quite nostalgic for mon and dad, as well.

I think anyone with kids and grandchildren will love this Max & Ruby DVD. I can't believe how much my kids love Max & Ruby. Simple, cute and evidently hypnotizing. My kids and I have been enjoying Max & Ruby DVD's and we still watch them to this day. :)
