IF MY BODY WERE A CAR
If my body were a car,
this is the time I would be thinking about
trading it in for a newer model.
I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my
finish and my paint is getting a little dull,
but that's not the worst of it.
My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things up close.
My traction is not as graceful as it once was.
I slip and slide and skid and bump into
things even in the best of weather.
My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.
It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed.
My fuel rate burns inefficiently.
But here's the worst of it -- almost every time I sneeze,
cough or sputter.....
Either My Radiator = Leaks
OR My Exhaust BACKFIRES!

Guess getting old is the same for any"thing"...falling apart and wearing out!
ReplyDeleteBy the way thanks for sending up the heat wave--we are high humidity 90s today--not quite use to that in May--it is usually in the 70's this time of year:) Whew--and to top it off, we are moving Kinsey home today,-- hope we survive!!
Yeap, I feel like an old car!! My radiator does leak when I cough/sneeze or yell at my boys!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday, dearest Gina.
I am not a car. Not yet! Loved this post. So very true. Getting old deals with all that wearing out.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!:)

ReplyDeleteI am totally with you on all of that. Time for a trade in, an upgrade, an overhaul. Something.
