A MOTHER'S LOVE

A mother's love is steady, enduring, strong and true;
She always loves her children, no matter what they do.
These little souls are given into her special care
To instruct, correct and cherish, to lift them up in prayer.

With loving heart and gentle hands this small life she will mold,
She will cherish and treasure more than silver or gold.
A mother needs great patience to bring a child up right
And a caring cheerfulness to make each day more bright.

It takes a special wisdom to know what must be done
To instill the best virtues in a daughter or a son.
A mother's love is endless, unselfish and forgiving;
Her children sometimes bring her pain but also joy in living.

A mother is the one to whom God entrusts the keeping
Of these special little ones, when awake and when they're sleeping.
The tender, sweet devotion does not come from any other
But from God when he gives a child the love of a mother.

  1. Happy Mother's Day to you!
    All my kids were home this weekend, so we had a full house but a great time!
    In response to your question about playing in the woods...yes, my grandkids love to play in the woods. Their imaginations come to life and they have a wonderful time...just as my kids did, and as did I as a young girl:) Thanks for asking!

  6. I passed on the Congrats to Kinsey, as she is home now until she gets a job in the "real" world:)
    Our two sons both lived at home their first year at college and it was the best decision they could have made; financially and study habit wise! It was a nice gradual transition into those tough college years.
    I assume this if your first born? Oh, I know how sentimental a Mom gets at times like this...but God gives them to us to raise them up and let them go. But in our hearts, and minds, they are still our little boys:)
    Have a good week!
